It’s been almost 2 and ½ years since I had the idea to write my science fiction novel. After all this time, I have finally hit the brick wall. I think crash is the more appropriate word here.
How could I not see the fundamental flaw in my own work? Have I become blind to its magnificence? Or have I avoided asking these questions to myself earlier because I knew I had it all wrong in the first place. Be that as it may, I know have made a monumental mistake in my bid to finish my novel.
Now I need to slow down and catch my breath. I have expired all my ideas on this novel and now need to approach it from another perspective. I need to re-elevate my plot and by doing so I got to start again.

You took 2 1/2 years to come into a realisation about your S2 work.
I took 6 years.
There’s still a long way to go.
