  • Wasn’t Planned

In all likelihood, I really should be reading instead of blogging, distracting myself instead of digging in.

Although I keep telling myself books are my friends I don’t treat them as such. A simple plan now ruined by an unforeseen library trip. But these things have a neck of showing up.

Surprisingly I found books on Cinema 4D. Unsurprisingly none were found for modo.

The book that has been craving for my attention is miller’s Dark Knight Returns. Sorry Lyra, I picked you over the Cape Crusader.

And oh, if you are wondering, I did model that Mercedes SLR.

And am keeping my fingers crossed for Latiff to lose his memory about the books he borrowed me. No wait. I got a better idea. I am will connect to the infinite intelligence and command it to wipe his memory out. While I am at it I might as well take all the good stuff from his head.

  • My Favourite Bookmark

Concerning those inspirational words on my bookmark.

I went and checked. Opened Latiff’s “The Amber Spyglass” book, and found my favourite bookmark. For a moment there I thought I lost it.

It does not particularly have any fancy design on it but the important stuff; the words on it allow me to survive rainy cheerless Singapore more easily.

Someday I will be in a country with snow and cheers. Till then these words will have to do.

    Write your own script
You are the director of your life’s scenarios. You are the one who must bring about the results and outcomes you desire in life. Nobody else can do that for you.

The book, The Amber Spyglass, is interesting, a bit creepy, somewhat reassuring, but always enjoyable. Gods are bias beings. Just take a look at Latiff’s ability to pick out great books. It’s just isn’t fair.

  • Disease

In which the author blames the rain and comes to terms with the dreadful reading disease.

Rain. Haven’t we had enough of it?

Call me lazy but I am blaming it for spoiling my midnight runs. Well at least my shiny “NEW” Nintendo DS Lite provides me with exhaustive finger exercises. Hopefully with enough training and vitamins I should be able to do those legendary two finger Bruce Lee pushups.

Like how hard can it be?

Since we are on topics of librarians, thought it would be most appropriate to post my reading list for last year.

My Reading List for the year known to man as the Twenty oh Six

Thankfully I know a few souls that actually read. So getting books wasn’t really a problem. Reading them was.

The while-I-love-to-read-but-the-moment-I-lay-in-bed-to-read-I-fall-asleep is a tough disease to beat; I am prescribing coffee and reading in a big comfy chair to battle with the disease. So far it looks good. It wouldn’t be long now before I rid myself of this foul disease.

It’s going to be over soon.

So far this year, my favourite book is the Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman. It’s the sequel to Northern Lights and the best part is – it isn’t even mine.

The sort of book that makes you sad on page 241 because after the next hundred pages it’ll be done and I have to beg Latiff to borrow me the final book in the trilogy.
