To tell you frankly I been running for several months now and my weight is still the same. Either I’m not dropping those extra pounds or my damn weighing scale is broken. The good news is I been slowly working my way up the lane count. Right now I can now run 7 rounds on the last lane of the woodlands stadium with ease. Soon with enough persistence and buckets loads of perspiration I can attain my former glory by running 16 rounds.
I have been wanting a GameCube for such a long time that I forgot how long it has been. From last night’s chat, I finally made a deal with my Good and Great Friend CYS to buy his GameCube. Frankly I am appalled that he is selling it. Because I know I won’t. But then again, gaming is one of those things that puts a smile on my face.
Just so you know, I still haven’t receive my books from Amazon. You hear me, Amazon! It’s been a month already!
How wonderful is it to be paid more than your previous job by working less than a quarter of that time. My job is pretty easy. Thankfully. And it also comes with very little stress. So right now I am planning to extend my company’s contract when it finishes in September. That way I can pay off my tuition fees without loans and be debt free when I finish school. So that means, no girlfriends, no cars, no bad habits. That’s my economic strategy for the next four years.
I have given up calling my friends to movies because I always get the same reply. I am working or I am busy and I can’t make it. So whenever I feel like watching a movie I just go and watch it. And of the movies I don’t like watching well, I don’t go.
Hellboy was fun and so was the Incredible Hulk but the Dark Knight was brilliant. Finally we have a meta hero movie that does justice to the legacy of Batman. Mind you, I love the Batman. The only problem was that they had too many undeveloped characters dropping in and out of the movie and I still preferred Adam West’s voice as the Batman from the animated series. But then again, it was a pretty long movie and to have fully fleshed out characters we would be looking at a 4 hour epic like Ben Hur. And my bladder can’t stand that kind of torture.
Not too long ago, I got interviewed by the local Tamil newspaper. They were interested in talking to me only because I have an all too Indian name on my university’s list. They asked the usual question like what got me interested in animation and why I choose this school from all other schools. Frankly I told them that I love games and ended being branded a video game geek. I also mentioned that I love story telling and that computer animation was the only medium I can think off right now that has unlimited potential. The only problem is I never got to know when my interview was going to be published in the papers. Incidentally it could be because I haven’t bought Tamil newspapers since 1999.
I was informed by Digipen that I have an entire year dedicated to drawing. So that means, no computers for a year in school. Its draw, draw and paint. Not that I’m complaining. Actually I’m looking forward to it because Drawing is one of my weakest skills. And the thing that got my hope high is that they got a masterful Indian artist who decided to tutor my class. The guy’s a real champion in drawing new age Indian mythos.
800 drawings. That ‘s how many drawing I have been told to submit even before I even start school. Well so far I have done 4. So yeah 796 more to go. How bad can it be?
It’s seems so sad that those who I thought were not supposed to drink are drinking and those who were not meant to be smoking are smoking and those who were preaching bachelorhood are blissfully married. Well that’s friends for you. They are like everyone else. They change. People today are very intelligent and they own it to themselves to set things right. Never preach and never teach to the uninterested as the motto goes. Wish them luck and work your ass off.
Darn I need to get back to Zbrush now.
