1) Don’t complaint.
2) Divide you pay into ten equal accounts. This is my plan, you need not follow mine, but it is crucial you learn the lessons here.
3) Categorize each accounts accordingly.
1 - Investment
2 - Emergency
3 - Savings
4 - Savings
5 - Transport
6 - Food
7 - Indulgence
8 - Home
9 - Debt
10 - Bills
4) The first thing to do is to have $1000 in your emergency account. This is the money that you will use in case you have emergencies. Eg. Your pants tore and you need a new one tomorrow.
5) Always maintain $1000 in your emergency account. So if you used $100 of your emergency account, you need to top it back up.
6) All remaining funds will contribute to the debt account until all debt is settled. If there is no debt, all remaining funds go to the emergency account.
7) If emergency account has reached it’s target amount ($1000) than all remaining funds will contribute to the investment account.
Make a list of debt you have. Then arrange it from the smallest to the biggest.
9) Pay the minimum for all the rest except for the smallest debt. Pay as much money as you can possibly spare to clear your smallest debt.
10) Once your smallest debt aka 1st debt has been settled, add the money which you normally would pay for your 1st debt to pay for your 2nd debt. Continue this snowball process until all debt is paid.
11) Do not incur any more debt. Period.
12) If you really want to buy something, buy cash and if only if your budget allows it.
13) Don’t listen to your broke friends and family advice. Do what wealthy people do!
14) Stick with the plan and not only can you will be Debt Ridden and you can start building your Wealth.
